The government has given the green light for the port reform aimed at cutting bureaucracy, reviewing the system and giving the Port Authority presidents more managerial responsibilities. Two main points of the reform are: the reduction of Italian Port Authorities from 25 to 15, and the transformation of the Port Committee into a lighter Management Committee.
