A new scientific observatory dedicated to the sea is born: “Maritime Economy”. Created by SRM, that has always made the features and trends of the maritime transport sector one of its branches of research.The Maritime Economy Web Portal – in both English and Italian versions – provides constantly updated data and statistics on the most important economic and financial indicators of the economy of the sea, with focus on commercial aspects. The Portal also makes available to the community and to the industry at large special reports, focus papers, research and analyses dedicated to major logistics-related topics, ports, and intermodal transport.Italy and its Southern regions, collectively known as the “Mezzogiorno”, which can boast business and infrastructural cases of excellence on this front, are always at heart of the Portal’s focus.
