Last month, Taranto port handled 2.5 million tons of cargo, + 30.8% more than April 2015. The dry bulk cargo registered an increase of  +74.0% rising to 1.6 million tons, while liquid bulk cargo fell by 8.3% to 532 thousand tons and conventional goods, with 424 thousand tons, reduced its performance (-6.5%).

In April  2016, the port handled 8.4 million tons of goods, with an increase of +17.6%. Dry bulk cargo reached 5.0 million tons (+27.8%). The liquid bulk cargo registered 1.7 million tons (-0.4%) and conventional cargo 1.6 million tons (+24.6%).
