Naples will host a week of events and conferences dedicated to the shipping and port cluster, from 23 to 28 June 2014. The first edition of the Shipping Week intends to replicate the similar initiative held in Genoa, and will be centred on meeting opportunities, and on the sixth edition of Port&ShippingTech, an international event dedicated to the development of the port-logistics system.

The topics that will be taken on during the week will include urban waterfront management models, with a comparison of the projects drawn up for Naples and Salerno and existing international experiences, promoting tourism in port cities, and technological innovation to reduce environmental impact.
