On Friday 5th June 2015, SRM presented the second annual report “Italian Maritime Economy” resulting from the monitoring of a year activity of the new Permanent observatory on the Maritime Economy dealing with the issues of transport and logistics. The event took place in Naples at the Assembly Hall in Banco di Napoli.
The Report intends to take stock of the current situation and the prospects for the Italian maritime economy in the competitive environment of the Mediterranean, focusing also on the strategic role that the South can play so that our country can seize the development opportunities offered by the Blue Economy. The study is also enriched by prestigious Italian and foreign collaborations, by field surveys conducted this year in Hamburg, Suez and Tangier, and by a thorough analysis of the ports of the Northern and the Southern Range.
