2014 was a record year for the Port of Trieste and, above all, for the container terminal.
In 2014 506,007 TEUs were handled, with an increase of 10.34% compared to 2013, bringing the port of Trieste to conquer the Italian record for total traffic volumes handled. For the fourth consecutive year the increase in traffic in this important sector continues; in fact, considered the starting point of 2010 (281.643 TEU), container traffic has steadily grown since the present, with an overall increase of +80% in four years.
