The container imports fell by -12.4% and the decline of those in export was of -8.4%. In the first quarter of this year, the container traffic handled by the port of Naples amounted to 107 thousand TEUs, representing a decrease of 10.5% compared to 119 thousand TEUs aggregated in the January-March period of 2013. Containers are landing amounted to 53 thousand TEUs (-12.4%) and those boarding at 54 thousand TEUs (-8.4%).
In the month of March 2014 the airport handled over 36 thousand Neapolitan container TEUs, a decrease of -7.6% compared to 39 thousand TEUs in March last year.
