In the first quarter of this year the traffic of goods handled by the port of Ravenna increased by 11% compared with the corresponding period of 2013. The landing goods amounted to 6.8 million tons (+11.8%) and those boarding at 1.1 million tons (+29.2%).
The number of landing ships grew (+66 in the first quarter of 2014).
The volume of dry bulk grew by 12.5%, liquid bulk decreased by 0.4%, while containerized cargo decreased by 10%.
The more important growth is in the segment of metallurgic goods (+21.1% compared with the corresponding period of 2013).
